Long-term monitoring of coastal dolphins in Darwin Harbour and the abundance and distribution of dugongs in the Northern Territory

Project outcomes included:
- Enhanced understanding of coastal dolphin population dynamics in Darwin Harbour and surrounding waters.
- Improved knowledge of the abundance, distribution and habitat use of dugong in NT coastal waters.
- Sharing science and culture in Yanyuwa saltwater country with the Li-Anthawirriyarra Sea Rangers who work with marine researchers to catch and study dugongs in the Gulf of Carpentaria
